Bio

Jazmine Hayes is an interdisciplinary artist born, raised, and based in Brooklyn, New York. She

received a MFA from CUNY Hunter College and a BFA from CUNY Queens College. Her

artwork explores social and personal topics of family ancestry, women of color, identity and

intergenerational imagery through painting, drawing, performance, sound and writing. She has

worked with community-based organizations across New York City as a muralist and teaching

artist.
